Kitten Starter Kits
When your kitten comes home, they’ll be bringing a little piece of us with them! Every baby goes home with a goody bag including a blanket that smells like their home and mom, toys (a string toy, a couple of soft plush toys, and a wand toy), and a collar. We also email over their health records digitally so you have everything on hand right from day one.
Vaccinations
Your kitten’s health always comes first with us. Before they leave, every kitten receives age-appropriate veterinary care, including their first two distemper vaccinations and deworming if needed, so they’re off to a healthy start.
Everyone has their own approach to pet care, and we respect that. If you’d prefer your kitten not receive vaccinations before coming home, just let us know- we’re happy to talk it through and find what works best for your family.
At Home Support
Bringing home a kitten is just the beginning of our relationship, not the end of it! We’re always a text or call away if you have questions about behavior, health, diet, or anything in between. A lot of new owners reach out during those first few weeks, and we genuinely love hearing how our babies are settling in. You’re part of our extended family now, and we’re always here for you.
Our Mission
We’re a small, in-home cattery with a big love for Ragdolls, and honestly, this has become one of our greatest joys. Our mission is simple: raise beautiful, healthy, well-socialized kittens and place them with families who will love them every bit as much as we do. Every kitten grows up right in our home, underfoot- not in a cage or a back room- surrounded by cuddles, conversation, and the chaos of our very energetic dog. By the time they leave us, everyday life doesn’t scare them one bit.
We don’t rush this process, and we don’t cut corners. Every kitten gets individual attention and daily socialization, and we get to know their personalities as they grow, which helps us match them with the right family. From the moment they’re born, we’re paying attention- how curious they are, how they play, how they respond to new sounds and people- because those little details tell us a lot about who they’ll grow up to be.
But just as important, we want to get to know you too. This isn’t a transaction for us- it’s the start of a relationship. We ask questions, we answer yours, and we take the time to make sure it feels right on both sides. When one of our kittens goes home, we want to feel completely confident that we’ve found them exactly the right family, and we want you to feel just as confident that you’ve found the right kitten.
Are Ragdolls Right for You?
Ragdolls are truly special cats, and if you’ve never lived with one, you’re in for a treat. They’re affectionate, easygoing, and famous for their signature “flop” when you pick them up. These cats bond deeply with their people and genuinely love being near you. If you want a companion who follows you room to room and melts into your lap the second you sit down, a Ragdoll might just be your perfect match.
Because they bond so closely, Ragdolls don’t do well left alone for long hours. If you’re out of the house most of the day, we’d really encourage you to consider a second cat (Ragdoll or not!) to keep your kitten company. A lonely Ragdoll can become genuinely sad, and a buddy makes a world of difference in keeping them happy and playful.
One thing we’re firm on: Ragdolls should never be left to roam outside freely. They’re too trusting and too laid-back to protect themselves out there. If you’re hoping for an outdoor cat, this isn’t the right breed for you- but supervised time outside on a leash and harness is always a wonderful option.
Health, Wellness & Trust
Before any kitten leaves our home, they’re fully vetted- vaccinated appropriately for their age and dewormed. We want them starting their new chapter feeling their absolute best.
We also lean toward a natural, holistic approach to wellness, so we’re a little more thoughtful about vaccines than some. Based on our own research, we don’t give more than one vaccine at a time, and we steer away from combination or “bundle” shots. We also don’t send kittens home with the rabies vaccine, since we feel the risks outweigh the benefits for indoor cats, and Ragdolls especially seem more sensitive to it.
That said, we know every family sees this differently, and that’s completely okay. This is your kitten and your choice- we just want to share what we’ve learned. If you’d rather bring home a kitten unvaccinated, tell us and we’ll happily work around that.
Policies
Lifetime Surrender
Once one of our kittens goes home with you, we consider ourselves responsible for them for life. If your circumstances ever change and you can no longer care for your Ragdoll, come back to us- no questions asked, no judgment, no matter how much time has passed. Life happens, and hard decisions sometimes have to be made. All that matters to us is that our cats are always safe and loved, and never end up in a shelter.
Declawing
Our kittens come into the world whole, and we ask that they stay that way. Declawing isn’t a simple trim- it’s a painful, permanent procedure that removes part of their toes and often leads to lasting physical and behavioral trauma. We don’t place kittens with anyone who plans to declaw, and we have a contract you’ll sign agreeing to this before bringing your kitten home. If scratched furniture worries you, routine nail trims, scratching posts, soft claw covers, and adhesive scratching mats work wonderfully instead.
Indoor Only
Ragdolls are trusting, gentle souls who thrive indoors, safe by your side. They just aren’t built to handle the outside world on their own. Leashed walks and supervised time in a secure yard are more than welcome, but we ask that all our kittens live as indoor cats- it’s simply the safest, happiest life for them.
