About Us

Kitten Starter Kits

Every kitten goes home with a thoughtful starter kit, put together with love and care. Inside, you’ll find a cozy blanket that smells like home, a variety of toys to keep your new baby entertained, a collar, a treat, and helpful care information to guide you through those first exciting days.

Vaccinations

Your kitten’s health is our top priority. Before they leave for their forever home, each kitten receives age-appropriate veterinary care, including their first two distemper vaccinations and deworming treatment if needed.

**We understand that everyone has their own approach to pet care- if you prefer your kitten to not receive vaccinations, just let us know. We’re happy to accommodate your preferences and work with you to ensure the best path for your kitten**

At Home Support

We believe support shouldn’t end when your kitten goes home. Whether you have questions about behavior, health, diet, or general care, we’re always just a message away. We’re happy to offer guidance whenever you need it. Your peace of mind matters, and we truly care about every kitten, even after they leave our home.

Our Mission

We are a small, in-home cattery with a big love for Ragdolls. At M&M Ragdolls, our mission is simple: to raise beautiful, healthy, and well-socialized kittens to match with loving, responsible families who will cherish them just as much as we do. Every kitten we raise is treated like family from the very beginning. They grow up right in our home- not in cages or outbuildings- where they’re constantly being cuddled, talked to, and cared for by us and our very energetic dog. That means by the time they go to their forever homes, they’re already used to everyday life, sounds, and human interaction.
We don’t believe in rushing the process or cutting corners. Every kitten gets loads of individual attention, daily socialization, and the best start we can possibly give them. We prioritize their health, happiness, and smooth transition into their new homes.

Are Ragdolls Right for You?

Ragdolls are unlike most cats. They’re incredibly affectionate, easygoing, and known for their signature “ragdoll flop” when picked up. These cats tend to form deep emotional bonds with their humans and love being around people. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving companion that wants to be near you, follow you from room to room, and curl up on your lap, a Ragdoll may be the perfect match.

That said, because they bond so deeply, Ragdolls really don’t like being alone for long stretches of time. If you’re out of the house for many hours a day, we strongly recommend getting a second cat (it doesn’t have to be a Ragdoll!) to keep your kitten company. Ragdolls can become lonely and even depressed if left alone too often. Having a buddy around helps them stay happy, playful, and emotionally well-balanced.

Ragdolls should never, under any circumstances, be let outside to roam freely. If you are looking for an “outdoor cat”, Ragdolls will not be a good pick for you. Ragdolls are very docile and laid back- meaning that they will not survive outside alone. Ragdolls should only be brought outside on a leash and harness while supervised by you.

Health, Wellness & Trust

Before our kittens go home, they’re fully vetted- up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and dewormed. We want every kitten to start their next chapter as healthy and strong as possible.

We also believe in natural wellness and holistic care, so we take a gentle and informed approach when it comes to vaccinations. Based on our own research, we do not recommend giving more than one vaccine at a time to your kitten, and we strongly advise against combination or “bundle” vaccines. We also do not recommend the rabies vaccine for indoor cats, as we feel the risks often outweigh the benefits. Ragdolls are also more prone to the risk and adverse side effects of the rabies vaccine. As such, we do not send our kittens home with the rabies vaccine.

That said, we understand that every family has different beliefs and comfort levels when it comes to health care. Ultimately, the choice is yours- we’re just here to share what we’ve learned. If you prefer to bring home a kitten that is unvaccinated, just let us know. We’re happy to work with you to support your preferences.

Policies

Lifetime Surrender

We are committed to the lifelong well-being of every cat we bring into this world. If, at any point in time, your circumstances change and you’re no longer able to care for your Ragdoll, we will gladly welcome them back- no questions asked, no judgment, no matter the time it’s been since you brought your cat home. Life can be unpredictable, and we understand that difficult decisions sometimes need to be made. What matters most to us is that our cats are safe, loved, and never at risk of being placed in a shelter.

Declawing

Our kittens are born whole and healthy, and they should remain that way. Declawing is not a simple nail trim- it’s a painful and permanent procedure that removes part of their toes and WILL cause physical and emotional distress and trauma for the rest of your cat’s life. This WILL lead to behavioral issues with your cat. Your cat will constantly be in pain and fear. We do not allow anyone to adopt from us who will declaw their cat, or believe it is okay to declaw a cat. Many states have outlawed the procedure of declawing. We have a contract in place that you must sign before bringing home your Ragdoll stating that you agree to never declaw your cat. Alternatives to reduce scratched up furniture are routine nail trims, scratching posts, claw covers and self-adhesive scratching mats that stick to your furniture.

Indoor Only

Ragdolls are gentle, affectionate cats who thrive in the safety of an indoor home. Because of their trusting nature, they are not equipped to handle the dangers of the outdoors. While leashed walks and supervised outdoor time in a fenced yard are welcome, we ask that our kittens live indoors where they can be safe, loved, and protected- just as they deserve.
